Optimistic Runners is a Berlin-based running apparel brand that blends functional design with an art-driven approach. We're a young, international team, and we are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Stock Manager to oversee inventory operations across our retail, e-commerce, and event channels.
This role is essential to ensuring smooth day-to-day stock management, accurate inventory levels, and an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate combines operational precision with a proactive mindset and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Shift pattern: Varied shifts including mornings; afternoons; evenings and weekends – all will be discussed at interview
Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and prepare online orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely dispatch and a seamless customer experience.
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory across retail, warehouse, and online channels
- Oversee incoming deliveries, stock intake, transfers, and returns
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of key products and sizes
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations
- Identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate inventory allocation for store activations, events, and special projects
- Collaborate closely with retail, and operations teams to optimize stock flow
- Support sell-through analysis and provide inventory insights to inform planning and merchandising decisions
- Maintain stockroom organization and operational efficiency
- Ensure all stock processes are documented and continuously improved
Requirements
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Confident, day-to-day proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Comfortable working with CRM and inventory management systems.
- Previous experience in stock management, inventory control, or retail operations
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Analytical mindset with confidence working with inventory systems and spreadsheets
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Reliable, proactive, and solution-oriented approach
- Comfortable with physical tasks (e.g. lifting boxes, moving stock)
- Experience in fashion, sportswear, or lifestyle retail is a plus
- Passion for sports and running or motivation to start running is a plus
