Store Assistant

Optimistic Runners is a Berlin-based running apparel brand that blends functional design with an art-driven approach. We're a young, international team, and we’re currently looking for a Store Assistant to support our daily retail operations.

The ideal candidate will be a team player, have excellent communication skills, and a passion for running and sports. This position offers growth opportunities in an expanding team of a new Berlin-based brand. Together, we will not only build the brand but also contribute to the development of Berlin's running culture.

Location: Torstrasse 62, Berlin

Job type: Full Time

Contracted hours: 32-40 hours per week

Shift pattern: Varied shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends – all will be discussed at the interview

Responsibilities

Provide attentive, personalized customer service
Support store team with daily operations
Help maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail space
Replenish stock and monitor inventory levels
Process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
Assist during occasional brand events (e.g. pop-ups, launches, activations)
Help with setup, breakdown, and logistics during in-store or off-site events

Requirements

Previous experience in retail
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Confident English communication skills (spoken and written), German language skills are a plus
Comfortable with physical tasks (e.g. lifting boxes, moving stock)
Proactive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
Flexibility to work weekends and occasional evenings for events
Passion for sports and running or motivation to start running

Stock Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Stock Assistant to join our team and help manage our inventory and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Organize and maintain inventory and storage areas to ensure efficient use of space and resources.
Receive and process incoming warehouse stock products, including verifying quantities and inspecting for damages.
Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Collaborate with team members to optimize workflows and improve inventory management processes.
Perform regular inventory audits to monitor stock levels and report discrepancies.
Assist in the development and implementation of inventory management strategies.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements:

Experience as a stock assistant, store manager, or similar role.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
Able to work a flexible schedule
Confident English skills, German is a plus
Passion for sports and running or motivation to start running
