Optimistic Runners is a Berlin-based running apparel brand that blends functional design with an art-driven approach. We're a young, international team, and we’re currently looking for a Store Assistant to support our daily retail operations.
The ideal candidate will be a team player, have excellent communication skills, and a passion for running and sports. This position offers growth opportunities in an expanding team of a new Berlin-based brand. Together, we will not only build the brand but also contribute to the development of Berlin's running culture.

Job type: Full Time
Contracted hours: 32-40 hours per week
Shift pattern: Varied shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends – all will be discussed at the interview
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, personalized customer service
- Support store team with daily operations
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail space
- Replenish stock and monitor inventory levels
- Process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Assist during occasional brand events (e.g. pop-ups, launches, activations)
- Help with setup, breakdown, and logistics during in-store or off-site events
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Confident English communication skills (spoken and written), German language skills are a plus
- Comfortable with physical tasks (e.g. lifting boxes, moving stock)
- Proactive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional evenings for events
- Passion for sports and running or motivation to start running
